Met with Brian Grace this weekend to photography their engagement session here in Las Vegas.

My Summer Vacation: Arizona By John Morris
Boy did we have a great summer vacation. Decided to go see a Boston Red Sox home game. I’ve been a fan for over 30 years and have always wanted to make the pilgrimage to Fenway. The catch, we decided to drive. I will try to post on a regular basis about all the great places we stopped and visited. Of course we started the trip with an overnighter in Flagstaff to see the Grand Canyon. Not very far for a Las Vegas Photographer to travel, but then we wanted plenty of time to look around. Beautiful Place. Make sure you stay for the sunsets.

SIA Fashion Show
Here are some more images from the SIA Trade Show. The fashion show was held at the Fashion Show Mall on Las Vegas Blvd. A big crowd showed up to get a peek at the latest in fashion for the ski slopes and lodges. John

Las Vegas Trade Show Photography
I had a much better than expected time at the annual Las Vegas SIA SnowSports trade show this weekend. Working amongst skiers, snowboarders, and all manner of winter outdoors people was great and really inspired me to get off the couch and get outdoors. What an interesting crowd and cool lifestyle. Las Vegas Bridal Show
I would just like to thank all the friends and brides-to-be who stopped by our booth this last weekend during the 2007 Bridal Spectacular at Cashmen Center in Las Vegas. We had a great time putting everything together and really enjoyed meeting many of our fellow vendors and photographers at the show. Las Vegas is a big town with a small community feel, and we really got a sense of that this weekend. We were so busy with setup and meetings, we actually forgot to take alot of pictures.., go figure. John

Kansas City: The mini series
An overview of my trip to Kansas over the holidays:
Day 1 – Arrived in Topeka, KS and drove about 2.5 hours to Pretty Prairie to visit family. Had dinner and then headed to the local high school basketball game (the town’s big event of the week) where my 6′7″ nephew plays as the starting center. Go Bulldogs!

Day 2 – Golfing with my dad is a necessity every time I visit Kansas. A perfectly hit 8-iron on a short par 3 almost scored my first hole in one. I’ll probably never get that close again.
Wichita Zoo

Wichita Greyhound Park
Day 3 – Went into Hutchinson for the day to do some shopping and then caught a 7:00 showing of Apocalypto. I give it a B-
Day 4 – Drove into Kansas City for the rest of the trip. Checked into the hotel at the Country Club Plaza, then walked around window shopping and admiring the plaza lights.

Afterwards we had dinner at Kona Grill and then took a cab to Westport and hit up a few bars. We ended the night at one of the local nightclubs (a completely different experience from a Las Vegas nightclub).
Day 5 – Journeyed downtown to try Arthur Bryant’s legendary Kansas City BBQ. Not the least bit disappointing.

We began the evening at the Blue Room, one of the top 10 jazz clubs in the country and finished at Knucklehead’s Saloon where “the sounds of todays BEST blues and honky tonk music in Kansas City” can be heard.

Day 6 – Arrowhead Stadium

Independent Center for more shopping, then spent the rest of the evening relaxing in the room.
Day 7 – Headed off to the airport for a surprisingly painless flight back home.

Kayaking the Colorado
Whenever I get a chance, I like to head downriver from Hoover Dam for about a 12 mile kayak trip through some of the most beautiful river canyon on the Colorado. Here are some photos from a great trip a few weeks ago.
