New Orleans
February 22, 2008

A recent visit to Crescent City was an inspiring break. This was my first visit in years and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the city hasn’t changed too much. Traveling during off-season has its perks, but it also has its down sides. Much of what we were hoping to see wasn’t going on yet – the major one being the Farmers Market section of the French Market. It also happened that this trip coincided with the NBA All-Star 2008, so we got to see New Orleans at its busiest and best. The food of course was amazing. We could have spent a month there and still not have the time to try everything, but we did manage to hit up a few of the must-do’s at the top of our list including Commanders Palace, Camellia Grill, Brennan’s Restaurant, Brigtsen’s, Mother’s Restaurant, and a little hole-in-the-wall called Coop’s Place. Needless to say, we were never disappointed.
